Regattas and Events

Our regattas are organized through the joint effort of Centro Velico Punta Ala A.S.D. and PuntAla Camp & Resort, serving as the host location and logistical sponsor of the event. The Organizing Committee collaborates with National and International Class Associations as well as several local sailing clubs. Local and regional administrations are always involved and provide strong support for the events.
Punta Ala is located in Tuscany, one of the most enchanting regions of central Italy, and Centro Velico Punta Ala is situated in the Gulf of Follonica, a symbol of sailing excellence at both national and international levels, on the Tyrrhenian Sea, part of the broader and temperate Mediterranean Sea. Surrounded by golden beaches and offering panoramic views of Elba Island, our club provides a unique and captivating setting for high-level sailing events.
The favorable weather conditions and natural beauty make this area perfect for regattas. The beach gently slopes into the sea, allowing the waves to break close to the shore and ensuring smooth and comfortable entry and exit. During regattas, the resort transforms into a true “Olympic village,” where athletes can enjoy full facilities just steps away: comfortable accommodations, storage areas, boats parked directly on the beach, an event village, as well as shops, restaurants, and bars.
The location is also positioned between two renowned marinas: Punta Ala and Scarlino, both approximately 8 km away and just a 10-minute drive.
