European Windsurfer Championship 2025
September 9-14, 2025
Punta Ala (GR) Italy
The European Windsurfer Class Championship is an annual sporting competition recognized by the International Sailing Federation. The event has a strong international appeal, bringing together new talents and legends who have written the history of windsurfing. This competition fully espouses the original spirit of windsurfing: a unique blend of passion, inclusiveness and pure fun, kept alive in its more than 55-year history. It is not just a sporting challenge: it is a celebration of the free spirit and energy that characterizes windsurfing, a versatile, exciting and always unpredictable discipline.
The event format includes the main disciplines of the Windsurfer Class: course race, slalom, and marathon, along with a non-competitive freestyle demonstration. Each discipline highlights a different aspect of the sport, blending technique, speed, and creativity. Slalom, in particular, will be run in head-to-head heats, using a single or double elimination format, close to the beach — a fast and highly spectacular setup. The freestyle will offer pure show moments, with athletes pushing their limits through dynamic and acrobatic moves.
Simple, spectacular and affordable-these are the qualities that make Windsurfer so special.
