Flavors of the Maremma, Tuscan wines, and an evening to enjoy together on land: here’s the menu for the crew dinner scheduled for Saturday, September 12.

A regatta consists of starts, crossings, and rounding marks, but also of moments spent together once back on shore, sharing stories about the challenges just faced on the water. That’s why the traditional crew dinner is a must-have among the most beloved events on the social calendar of any regatta worth its salt.
The Italian Fireball Championship dinner will be held on Saturday, September 12, at Bubula – Cucina di Maremma, in Pian d’Alma: a restaurant that has become a staple for events hosted by the Punta Ala Sailing Center, thanks to the quality of its cuisine, the attention given to guests, and its ability to welcome crews and their companions in a friendly atmosphere.
The menu is a true journey through the flavors of the Maremma and includes:
- mixed appetizer of cold cuts and cheeses;
- pici with meat sauce;
- mixed grill with roasted vegetables;
- tiramisu in a glass;
- coffee and water.
For guests with celiac disease and vegans, a rice dish with vegetables will be available as an alternative to pici.
To round out the dinner, there will be a selection of local wines, available by the bottle or by the glass. Among the offerings are Ciliegiolo, Sangiovese, Syrah, and Morellino di Scansano for the reds; Vermentino for the white; and a Tuscan brut sparkling wine.
Guests will also be able to choose from other wines featured on Bubula’s wine list.
The dinner is also open to guests at a cost of 45 euros per person. To help the restaurant plan the evening effectively, it is important to confirm your attendance by Friday, September 11, by contacting the Punta Ala Sailing Center office.
