There are countless ways to enjoy the sea with Centro Velico Punta Ala, with experiences designed for all ages and skill levels. From sailing courses on dinghies and catamarans to canoe, pedal boat, or SUP rentals, all the way to introductory windsurfing lessons and the thrill of a first scuba dive — to explore vibrant seabeds, sunken wrecks, and the hidden world beneath the surface — each day offers the perfect opportunity to learn, discover, and have fun in the water.
Paddle into the blue
Guided tours, free rentals, individual or group lessons: stand-up paddling (SUP) is the ideal choice for exploring the coast and paddling alone, accompanied only by the silence of nature, to iconic destinations such as Cala Violina–not to be missed on a sunset tour– Isolotto dello Sparviero and Cala Civette.

Among the events not to be missed, at the end of the season the Sparviero SUP Challenge – Sara D’Apolito Memorial., the final of the Italian SUP Race Championship, scheduled for October 4-5. The best national athletes will compete in a spectacular speed race, which includes the circumnavigation of the Isolotto dello Sparviero, an unmistakable symbol of the skyline of this stretch of coastline.
Discovering the underwater world
Directly from the beach at the PuntAla Camp & Resort, you can dive into the heart of the Tyrrhenian Sea with to snorkeling and diving trips organized by Centro Velico Punta Ala, in collaboration with the Feeldive sports association from Scarlino. The activities are open to everyone, from first-time dives to advanced underwater experiences.
Exploring the seabeds of Punta Ala means experiencing an exciting journey into the deep blue, where vibrant colors, shimmering light, and exceptional marine biodiversity come together. Beyond the Isolotto dello Sparviero, the diving routes extend to the islands of Cerboli, Palmaiola, Elba, and Pianosa — true underwater gems of the Tyrrhenian Sea, offering unique emotions with every dive.
Relaxation, sports and sociability on the beach
The equipped beach at PuntAla Camp & Resort — awarded the Blue Flag and Legambiente’s 5 Sails for over 20 years — is the perfect place to alternate relaxation with physical activity. Days begin with fitness and yoga sessions on the sand, while little ones have fun with the Mini Club’s activity program.

During the day, the beachfront Beach Bar serves cocktails, light snacks, and live music. For those who enjoy staying active even under the beach umbrella, the Sport Beach Arena hosts beach volleyball, beach soccer, and tennis matches. And as the sun sets, the fun continues with DJ sets, barbecues, and live music events—perfect for evenings to enjoy in great company.
