The Master’s World Championship of the Finn class, a symbol of Olympic sailing since 1952, embodies the eternal appeal of Finn sailing, where age becomes a mere detail in the face of passion, competitive excellence and sporting spirit. Sailors from all corners of the globe, united by an undiminished dedication to Finn sailing, compete in several age categories: Masters (40-49), Grand Masters (50-59), Grand Grand Masters (60-69), Legends (70-79) and Super Legends (80 and over). A special tribute is also paid to the first Classic Hull, recognizing historic hulls made before 1985. This event is not just a competition: it is a gathering for experienced sailors, many with Olympic careers behind them, who continue to choose the Finn for its premier competitive level.
In 2024, the Finn World Masters will return to the Punta Ala Sailing Center, the site of the memorable 2011 edition, one of the most celebrated in the history of the championship. From June 7 to 14, it promises to be a week of exciting racing and unforgettable moments in a setting that promises to be as challenging as it is exhilarating.
