Long Day of Sailing on Day3 of the EurILCA Europa Cup in Punta Ala

The third day of the competition successfully concluded today at the EurILCA Europa Cup in Italy in Punta Ala.

It was a long day of races, with sailors facing the challenges of the sea from the morning. The day began as per scheduled, with the first warning signal given at 11:30 on the Alpha course, followed shortly after on the Bravo course. After all the excitement of yesterday, with wind and waves, today was a quieter day, with light to moderate winds ranging from 5 to 10 knots throughout the day.

All five classes managed to complete three new races per fleet. This included the first races for the ILCA 6 Men and ILCA 4 sailors. Meanwhile, the ILCA 7 and ILCA 6 Women’s championships completed 5 races each. A full day out on the water for the 553 laser sailors, especially for the ILCA 6 Women who, in order to complete all the races, returned to shore only at dusk after 7:00 PM.
